201-3 Archeology. (3-0)

A survey of human prehistory and the origins of civilization.  Topics covered included archeological theory and methodology, the evolution of humans, the origins of culture, development of agriculture, and the early history of world civilizations. Theory reinforced by field experience.

The numbers in parentheses following the course number (for example, 3-2) indicate the number of clock hours per week devoted to theory and practice, respectively.
