Dr. Melinda Wade-English

Flutist Melinda Wade-English holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas, a Master of Music from Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., and is currently finishing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Texas Tech University. She has taught on the Woodwind Faculty at Peabody Preparatory, Salisbury University, Anne Arundel Community College, and the United States Naval Academy. While living in Maryland, she played flute and piccolo with Opera Vivente of Baltimore, the Maryland Philharmonic, the Annapolis Chorale Orchestra, the Atlantic Winds Woodwind Quintet, the Arundel Winds, the United States Army Field Band, the Mount Vernon Chamber Orchestra, the Mid-Atlantic Symphony, the Salisbury Symphony, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Wade-English has solo performances in New Delhi, Paris, Antwerp, and Monterey.
