Committees are a way to get involved with your chapter! This website will provide up-to-date information about all ongoing committees, including meeting times, event dates, and any help needed. Click on the committee name for more information.
Banquet
Plans the end of the semester Banquet for some light-hearted fun as well as semester awards. Not Ongoing.
Bylaws
Review the Chapter Bylaws each Spring Semester and propose changes. Not Ongoing.
Chapter Awards
Consists of the four Vice Presidents and Pledgemaster. Oversee chapter award nominations and voting. Also responsible for silly awards. Not Ongoing.
Homecoming
Chair:
Decides the Homecoming Float theme and design. The entire chapter is encouraged to help with building the float. This committee is also responsible for chapter participation in other Homecoming activities such as Yell Contest, Beat the Drum, Midnight Breakfast, Bonfire, and Halloween Carnival.
John Tarleton T-Shirts
Chair: Rachael Perkins
Responsible for selling the John Tarleton is My Homeboy t-shirts in order to raise money for the chapter. Also submits a request to replenish t-shirt supply.
Merit Badge University
Chair: Cynthia Robinson
Works closely with the Merit Badge planning committee and acts as a liaison between Alpha Phi Omega between the University and the Boy Scouts of America in order to have a successful Merit Badge University to help the scouts earn their badges in various areas.
RUSH
Chair: Britteny Shults
Responsible for planning RUSH tables, informationals, and fellowship gatherings to gain interest of prospectives.

Sectionals
Chair: Summer Smith
Responsible for planning the 2013 sectionals conference.
Ugly Man on Campus
Chair: Emily VanKirk
Responsible for going to other school orginizations to get participants for UMOC. Also responisble for running the actual event.
Xi Omicron chapter holds a contest to find the Ugly Man on Campus. Different student organizations disguise a representative member as ugly. Once pictures are taken, a voting table is set up for any student to vote and each organization could rally votes amongst its members. The votes are in the form of money and half of the proceeds go to the winning organization's charity of choice along with the title of APO's "Ugliest Man on Campus".
