Alumni Relations

Tarleton's Alumni Relations office was established to keep the lines of communication open with our beloved alumni. The office publishes the Alumni J-TAC and works with the Tarleton Alumni Association, a non-profit organization, to coordinate Homecoming events along with other important projects. Currently, the Alumni Relations Staff and the Association are steadfastly working on the "Coming Home Campaign", in efforts to raise funds for a much needed Alumni Center. In addtion, the office proudly works with Tarleton's student organization, The Tarleton Alumni Ambassadors, who serve as a vital link between Alumni and the University.

Alumni Relations Staff
	Director: Paul Koonsman '67 Direct Phone: 254.968.9075 Email: koonsma@tarleton.edu Paul has a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture with a minor in biology from Tarleton. In graduate school at the University of Nebraska, he studied animal science, specializing in reproductive physiology; he has a certificate of completion in biomedical physics, electronics, mathematics and classical physiology from Baylor College of Medicine. Paul organized the Cross Timbers Alumni chapter and has served on the TAA Board of Directors. He and his wife, Karen '86, have three children and three grandchildren.
	Coordinator of Alumni Marketing & Promotions: Kari Lewis '02 Direct Phone: 254.968.9772 Email: kllewis@tarleton.edu Kari learned the importance of being involved in campus organizations and staying connected with her Tarleton family as an undergraduate. With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications, Kari graduated from Tarleton and moved to Dallas in 2002 and began work at a title company. She happily remained there for 6 years. In 2008, she returned to Stephenville and Tarleton to take on the position of Publications Specialist for Alumni Relations. A year later she made the transition into the role of Coordinator of Alumni Marketing & Promotions where she is able to put her creativity and love for the University to good use. Kari enjoys photography and spending time with her family and friends.

She has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing from The University of Texas at Tyler. She has previously worked in the the Automobile Industry, as well as in Advertising. Elaine currently lives in Stephenville and has one son.

	Associate Director: Bonnie Peterson Alumni House Phone: 254.968.9682 Email: peterson@tarleton.edu www.tarletonalumni.org Bonnie, a native Kansan, became a part of the Tarleton family in 1999 when she was employed as an Acquisition Clerk for the Dick Smith Library. In 2001, she came on board as a part-time employee for the TAA. At that time she was an Administrative Assistant. Her main duties included handling the bookkeeping and finances for the Association. Bonnie worked in 2007 with the Tarleton State University Foundation as the Financial Administrator. She is now a full time employee with the TAA as the Associate Director. Bonnie possesses work experience in the Banking and Finance Industry and she has also owned and operated Brands & More By Bonnie, a design company. In addition, Bonnie has remained in the ranching business for 35 years. She is a proud mother to 3 sons and 4 grandchildren.
