ACT is a national organization designed for college students with a professional interest in the field of journalism and communications related to agriculture. ACT members meet students with similar career interests, sponsor and participate in social and educational activities and network with industry professionals who are helpful in the pursuit of a career in agricultural communications.

About Us

Agricultural communication is a growing degree option at Tarleton. Through our ACT organization, we hope to improve and increase our members networking skills, professional portfolios, and overall experience in the field of agricultural communication.

Membership

Who can become a member?

Any student who has an interest in agricultural communication. We encourage all agricultural communications majors to join, but all majors are welcome to be a part of this organization. 

Upcoming Events

  • ACT Meeting : Meetings are held the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month. Check back in the Fall for dates and times! 
  • Agricultural Media Summit is August 3rd - 7th 2013 in Buffalo, New York. We have 3 undergraduate and 1 graduate member of ACT attending along with advisor Dr. Wayne Atchley, and NACT Editor and Tarleton Alumn Hannah Miller.
