Academic Support Programs

Our Mission:

Helping students attain their highest level of academic achievement possible by creating a supportive and challenging environment that will provide equal opportunity to all students for academic success.

Academic Support Programs offers three different instructional support programs and each one adheres to increasing student success in the classroom.

With over fifty SI leaders covering multiple Math, Biology, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, and Animal Science courses it is our goal to adhere to students needs and help them achieve their goals. Supplemental Instruction not only assists students on knowing course material, but also helps students establish fundamental study habits.

Structured Learning Assistance is a pilot program that we are establishing in the Fundamentals of Mathematics 101 courses. SLA Instructors go to the Math 101 classes and then hold their own class in the form of a Lab later that afternoon to assist students in understanding the course material.

ASP provides Tarleton State University students with individualized tutoring sessions. Every semester each student starts off with 5 free hours of tutoring sessions, and then afterwards the sessions cost the student $5.00 per hour.

Each semester, Academic Support Programs hosts 3 one-day preparation workshops for students studying for the GRE® at these main locations for Tarleton State University.  These workshops are open to the public as well
