Induction Activities

Transition Week will end with two very important traditions - Convocation and the Candle Lighting Ceremony. Each event will symbolize, in a different way, your official entrance into the Tarleton family and academic community.

Convocation

Convocation and commencement are the bookends of your academic career. This formal ceremony marks the moment when your journey begins; a journey that will culminate into graduation.

Candle Lighting Ceremony

Your initiation into the bond of Tarleton begins when you light your candle during this emotional ceremony. Your flame will continue to symbolically burn and signify your lifelong membership into the Tarleton family.
