Take a closer look at Tarleton students who have experienced real life success.

Here is Amanda's story:

"I am from Stephenville, a small town girl with big city dreams. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Studies.

My participation here at Career Services included job fairs, Hire a Texan, and scheduling appointments with Career Services staff. I scheduled an appointment with Ms. Alana Hefner to get tips on how to make my resume shine. She was an expert on giving me the tiniest little details of what an employer is looking for.

The career that I entered right after graduating from Tarleton was Production Coordinator for Backporch Productions in Abilene, Texas. The company is new and right now we only have one event to prepare for, Outlaws and Legends in the spring. Outlaws and Legends 2013 was a huge success, with country music legend Merle Haggard headlining.

I obtained my career because of all the experience that was on my resume. Whether it was volunteering my time or working as an intern. My advice to all students is to get as much experience as possible. Work hard and your dreams will come true. Always remember “With God all things are possible” Matthew 19:26"
