Who are the SSMI Mentors?

We are Tarleton State University mentors who assist first-time college students through academic support-focused curricular and co-curricular activities.

What is the purpose of the SSMI Mentors Program?

We help student achieve their academic goals through curricular and co-curricular activities. Activities such as the LASSI Modules help students find their learning style. Listening and note taking activities help students study in the classroom! We also cover time management to skills to help students stay on top of their course due dates.

Who does the program assist?

This program targets students who are part of the following program: iSucceed (a personalized success plan, Texas Success Initiative (TSI), the Academically High Achievers mentoring program, and ANY student who needs mentoring and/or support in any subject!

What is the cost of the program?

It is free!
