Welcome
The purpose of Tarleton Student Affiliate Chapter of the ACS is allowing students with an interest in chemistry to meet and interact with other like-minded students. The chapter also helps students, majoring in chemistry, make valuable contacts in the professional chemical industry.
Many of the student members are laboratory assistants for the freshman chemistry instructors, work as attendants in the chemical stockroom, as well as working as tutors and paid research assistants with the chemistry faculty.
In addition to providing jobs for the students the chapter also has a number of scholarships available each year.
At the end of each academic year we have an awards banquet where we get together, remember the events of the past year, present awards and scholarships, and announce the people who will hold office for the next academic year.
