About Laura:

Laura is a graduate student at Tarleton State University, pursing her Master’s in Counseling Pyschology  and plans on earning a LPC (licensed professional counselor). She graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelors in Agricultural Services and Development and a minor in English. Tarleton Mentors has been her project, connecting college students to the foster home. Through this organization, she has seen numerous foster children (and college students alike), grow from the program and gain confidence in their everyday lives. She hopes that Tarleton Mentors will continue to blossom and connect the foster home with the students at Tarleton State University.

About Michael:

Michael is a senior at Tarleton State University. He will graduate in December with a Bachelor in Agriculture Service and Development. Plans after graduation will be to have a job in Sales/Marketing. Tarleton Mentors has been a rewarding adventure. Teaching kids and teens different skills in animal husbandry and for some car care. Also teaching how respect and honesty can get them further in life. He hopes that Tarleton Mentors will stay around to encourage the foster children to stay in school and pursue college to obtain a career.
