Module 3 examines the steps that are to be taken in order to effectively develop and organize a course. Just as I took steps to lay this course out, an effective faculty member needs to be able to see the entire field before them and establish learning outcomes before teaching begins.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this module, you should be able to . . .

3.1. Demonstrate the steps of establishing course objectives and outcomes.

3.2. Select and prioritize course topics, learning activities and evaluation.

3.3. Prepare a course syllabus.

  11. Assignment: Develop a Course Syllabus
    • Develop a brief syllabus utilizing what you have learned from this lesson. It should include all major course goals & objectives. (You can pick any course and are not required to include textbook or evaluation information.)
    • Create the syllabus in Microsoft Word and submit it to Turn-It-In.
