There will be two exams and a final. Homework will be selectively graded and there will be an occassional unannounced quiz
The exams will account for 1/2 of the value of your grade, the final will count for 1/3 of your grade while the quizzes and homework will account for 1/5. An A will have 9/10 or above, a B will be less than 9/10's but at least 4/5's value. C's , D's, and F's have respectively the same type interval as they move down the scale value.
It should be obvious that your ability to accomplish the homework will be an indicator of your compentance with the material. In light of that, an initial increment of class time will be open to questions for homework assistance.
