PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS AND ORIENTATION
My primary area of interest is psychological testing and evaluation
Other areas of interest include:
           - applying psychological research to improve schools, the workplace, and
              the daily lives of individuals
           - assessing social psychological processes and promoting cultural diversity
              and adaptability
My professional orientation for interpreting events and facilitating change
           favors cognitive and behavioral approaches

Ph.D. in educational/school psychology from Texas Woman's University (1994)
M.A. in psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University (1979)
B.S. in psychology from Western Illinois University (1975)
A.A. in social sciences from Sauk Valley College (1973)

EXPERIENCE
A wide range of professional experience, from working with multi-handicapped
           and developmentally disabled children to working with corporate executives in
           multinational organizations
Over 14 years experience as a full-time faculty member at a university, including:
           - head of the psychology & counseling department
           - senior program coordinator for educational, social,and behavioral sciences
             division
           - program coordinator for psychology programs
           - developer of distance learning courses (for both video and internet delivery)
           - chair of graduate faculty council and graduate program review committees
           - member and officer of faculty senate (President 2002-2003)
           - faculty advisor for psychology club
           - adjunct faculty member at a community college
Over 16 years of professional experience in psychology, including:
           - general partner in a human resource and management consulting firm
           - vice-president of assessment & research services for a psychological test publisher
           - director of mental retardation services at a community mental health center
           - psychologist and administrator at state mental health facilities

Two great children (Jon and Caryn)
Host parent for three great foreign exchange students (Maria from Brazil in
            2004-2005, Anne from Germany in 2005, and Natalia from Brazil in 2005-2006)
Born in Anchorage, AK; grew up in Sterling, IL; a resident of Texas for the past
            30 years; currently reside in Granbury, TX
Enjoy hiking, golf, home brewing, and riding my Harley
