Career Dr. Deviney has
over 38 years of experience in management, quality assurance, safety and
training. This includes 22 years in nuclear power plant construction and
operation. Before joining Tarleton State University in 1998, he spent 12
years as an internal and external consultant. Clients included TXU, Chevron,
Saint-Gobain Abrasives, 3M, Boise Cascade, Zeneca, Texas Electric
Cooperative, Inc., Baltimore Gas & Electric, Union Electric and Monsanto
Chemical Co. |

Military
Service A Viet Nam era
veteran, Dr. Deviney served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 to 1976 as an
Electrician's Mate 1st class. He was nuclear and SCUBA diver qualified aboard
the USS Grayling (SSN 646), a fast attack submarine. He was responsible for
operation and electrical maintenance of nuclear reactor primary and secondary
systems, as well as, other non-nuclear submarine systems. |

Family Dr. Deviney is
married to Mary Alice and they have four daughters (Angie, Stephanie, Julie
& Laura). He has five grandchildren (Alyssa, Brittan, Faith Bree and
Cole). Currently a resident of Waxahachie, Texas, he spends his spare time
playing with his grandchildren, consulting, traveling and playing golf. |
