Undergraduate Degree Programs

Welcome to the Department of Nursing at Tarleton State University. We are delighted that you are considering the nursing program at Tarleton as your choice for beginning a career in nursing or advancing that career. Tarleton offers educational opportunities at Bachelors (BSN) and Masters (MSN) levels. The BSN and MSN programs offer both traditional and alternate entry options. For further information on the MSN program, see the graduate section of this website.

The BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One DuPont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, (202) 887-6791 and the Texas Board of Nursing.

As a TSU nursing student, you will be challenged to strive for excellence and professionalism whether in the classroom, laboratory, clinical agency or community setting. Upon successful completion of the BSN curriculum, generic and LVN to BSN graduates are eligible to apply for licensure as a registered nurse and to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN®). Upon meeting licensure requirements and passing the NCLEX-RN®, the Tarleton BSN graduate will become a BSN RN.
