Those just starting with a BSW and no experience can expect an annual salary of $30, 000 depending on the type of work and geographic factors. A social worker with an MSW (Master’s of Social Work can expect an annual salary of  $40,000 or higher depending on experience and type of social work.

Do I need a minor to get my social work degree?

The BSW is a professional degree (like nursing or medicine) and does not require a minor.
