Technical Writing Center

This website provides Tarleton State University's technical writing students with a variety of resources, including an electronic handbook, resources for completing projects, PowerPoint presentations, examples of projects in Acrobat format, interactive tutorials, handouts from individual instructors, and links to instructor web pages. This site is for educational purposed only and is designed to support the Department of English and Languages technical writing courses, the Technical Writing Minor, and the B.A. in English with a Technical Writing Emphasis.


The 2007 Technical Writing Award winner is Kim Fehlis. Kim wrote her report entitled "Study Abroad: A Recommendation Report" for Tarleton students. She recommends to students that they seriously consider study abroad. Kim is a both a pre-med and a Spanish major. She wrote her report for Ms. Brister's course. The 2006 Technical Writing Award winners are James Oxford and Tyson Verdick. As math majors, they wrote their report for Ms. Brister's course entitled "Math Anxiety at Tarleton State University: An Empirical Report." To see their great work, download this PDF file for Acrobat Reader.
