Welcome from the Department Head

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Tarleton State University, I welcome you to the Department’s website. It is our hope that this website will provide you with useful and needed information about our Department and the graduate programs we offer.

Faculty members in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies are committed to excellence and equity in all our endeavors. These principles drive the decisions made each day related to student admissions, program curriculum, classroom instruction, student assessment, selection of faculty, and professional support for faculty and staff.

The faculty works to achieve the mission of the Department through the delivery of graduate degree and certification programs in the field of educational leadership and administration.  Programs in the Department are tailored to meet the needs of busy professionals seeking to make a difference in the classroom, at the campus level, at the district level, and in institutions of higher education.

February 11, 2012, Saturday--Comprehensive Examination Multiple Choice Test Review Session  for Principal TExES Examination at TSU-Stephenville campus, Howell Education Building, Room 212, 9 a.m.- 12 noon.  Students attending this session, please email Dr. Higham at higham@tarleton .edu no later than Monday, February 6 in order to reserve a seat for the session.
