Environmental Geosciences

The Geoscience option trains students to solve problems associated with pollution, waste management, site selection, urbanization, and natural hazards, such as flooding and erosion.  They will have the broad background required of all Environmental Scientists, but will have a more detailed knowledge to apply the principles of geology in the solving of environmental problems.  Many students trained in this field will work for private consulting firms or government.
