Bold - Women's Leadership

The BOLD group is designed to explore, foster, and examine women’s empowerment and leadership for our Tarleton undergraduate women.

The women of this group participate in mentoring programs and outreach programs within the community. Members of this group are individually selected to enter into this program. They attend weekly meetings, mentoring sessions and explore concepts to develop professionalism and leadership. Each year, the members strive to contribute to our campus and our community while building leadership skills. This year, our focus is on a confidence-building workshop for area girls. This program, called BOWS (Believing in Outreach for Women's Success), emphasizes self-esteem, wellness, professionalism, career goals, and personal growth workshops designed to help teenaged girls build and retain their confidence.

The BOWS program is a one-day confidence camp followed by monthly mentoring opportunities for teen girls. This program was developed by and will be hosted by our Bold women. The BOWS program provides an open, educational environment for young women in communities surrounding Tarleton State University. The attendees will move through a variety of workshops related to confidence, self-esteem, leadership, wellness, and personal growth.
