Giving

A graduate of Tarleton with a degree in communications, Sabra Guerra has worked for the university since 1989. She worked in the College of Education, in placement and school relations and in the President's office before joining Advancement and External Relations in 1992, during the infancy of the division. Sabra became the division's Director of Development in 2006 and Assistant Vice President of Development in 2011. She is responsible for the departments of Development and Advancement Services and provides leadership and management for the strategic planning of those departments as well as major gifts and planned giving.

Lori Jefferies has been employed in Development since 1997. She worked first as the Annual Giving Officer, and later as the Planned Giving Officer. In 2006, she became the Assistant Director of Development and was promoted to the Director of Advancement Services in 2009. Lori is responsible for oversight of the overall recording and reporting of gifts as well as donor stewardship, prospect research, and donor database management. Lori has both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Tarleton State University and currently serves as an adjunct professor in the College of Business.

Jessica Evans has been employed at Tarleton since 2002. She began her time at Tarleton in the Human Resources Department, she joined the Development Team in 2009 as the Development Officer for Special Projects. In 2011, Jessica was promoted to the Director of Development. She is responsible for the oversight of the Development Team and fundraising initiatives which include annual giving, corporate and foundation giving, special projects and support functions, donor relations, donor recognition, and KTRL, Tarleton's public radio station. Jessica received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Tarleton.

Trisha Geye joined the Development Team in 2011 and is a member of the Advancement Services team. Her primary responsibilities include processing, recording, and acknowledging gifts, as well as prospect research. Trisha received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Tarleton and has served as an adjunct faculty member in both the College of Business and the College of Education.

Cori Brown started working at Tarleton in 2009. She joined the Development Team in 2011. Cori's primary responsibilities are the Greater Tarleton Annual Fund which includes direct mail, phonathon, 1899 Circle, and the faculty/staff campaign. Cori is also responsible for the Student Philanthropy program. Cori received her Bachelor's degree from Tarleton in 2008.

Emma Bouquet joined the Development Team in 2012 and serves as the Development Officer for Special Projects. Her primary responsibilities are fundraising for President’s Circle, Dean’s Circle and Partner’s Circle. Emma received her Bachelor’s Degree from Tarleton in 2009.

Elaine Bayer began working at Tarleton in 2008 in the Office of Alumni Relations and joined the Development Team in 2011. Providing administrative support for the Development and Advancement Services offices, Elaine is also the budget manager for the division of Advancement and External Relations. Elaine received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.
