Welcome to the Wellness Expo!

What is the Wellness Expo?

The Wellness Expo is a focus on holistic wellness day. It is a day of wellness screenings, educational information, nutrition, healthy cooking, and vaccinations for our community! There is something for everyone. You will learn about proper nutrition, how to develop healthier relationships, how to dress professionally for success, etc. Expect door prizes, too!

Why a Wellness Expo?

In one word, “Prevention.”

The Wellness Expo is part of our quest to contribute toward improving the health status of our community. We believe that providing convenient access to holistic wellness screenings, information, vaccinations, and to our community businesses who provide these services, contributes positively toward the holistic health of our community. We also believe that students who develop healthy habits early (eg by developing a habit to get a flu shot) will be more likely to live healthier lives later in life, which translates into healthier communities.

Students are our educators, leaders, and policy makers of tomorrow. Exposing students to a milieu that reinforces holistic wellness, helps to communicate that wellness is a valuable part of achieving excellence. Thus, our community has chosen to devote a significant part of a day this Fall to holistic wellness. If students internalize that wellness is important, we believe that in the future, as our policy makers and leaders, they will be more likely to prioritize policies that positively affect wellness in their communities.
