Accessing From a Single Line Telephone
Call Forward:
Press feature and enter the feature code 4+ last 4 digits of number you want call forwarded to.
To take your phone off Call Forwarding press feature code 4
Call Transfer:
Press Transfer dial the
number the call is being transferred to, then hang up or press release button.
USING YOUR VOICEMAIL
●INITIALIZING YOUR MAILBOX
You must follow this procedure prior to being able to access your mailbox
- Press FEATURE and enter 981.
- Enter the default password 0000.
- To end the password press #.
- The display or Star Talk voice prompt will ask you to enter your new personal mailbox password.
- Using the dial pad, enter your new mailbox password. Your password can be from 4 to 8 digits long, but cannot start with zero.
- To end your password, press #.
- After you have accepted your password, you are asked to record your name in the Company Directory. At the tone record your name only.
- To end your recording, press #.
- To accept your recording press #.
You are now ready to record your personal mailbox greetings. Once your greetings are recorded, you have the option of selecting either your primary or alternate greeting. If you do not select a greeting, your primary greeting plays automatically.
●RECORDING YOUR MAILBOX GREETING
To record your greetings, you must first open you mailbox using the Open Mailbox Feature Code. Once you have opened you mailbox:
- Press ADMIN or 8.
- To select Greeting Options, press GREET or 2.
- To record your greeting, press RECORD or 1.
- Select which greeting you are going to record. NOTE: You can choose to record either your primary or alternate mailbox greeting, shown on the display as PRIME and ALT.
- To record your greeting, press YES or 1.
- At the tNSone, record your greeting. Remember to speak clearly, at a pace that is easy to understand.
- To end your greeting, press OK or #.
- To accept this recording, press OK or #.
●CHECKING YOUR VOICEMAIL MESSAGES
1. Press STAR TALK key.
2. Enter your password.
3. Choose from options offered.
●TO LEAVE A MESSAGE IN SOMEONE ELSE’S VOICEMAIL
1. Press FEATURE key.
2. Dial 980.
3. Voicemail will ask what extension you would like. Follow instructions.
●TO TRANSFER AN INCOMING CALL INTO SOMEONE’S VOICEMAIL
1. Press FEATURE key
2. Dial 986.
3. Display will say MAILBOX.
4. Enter person’s mailbox number (extension). NOTE: While dialing FEATURE 986, you may continue speaking with the incoming caller.
TO REPORT TELEPHONE PROBLEMS
Call Telecommunications at extension 9966 and have the following information
ready:
*Telephone number experiencing the problem.
*What the problem is (i.e. line dead, static, voice mail, etc.). Please
be specific.
*If the telephone is a single line or a multi-line.
*When the problem began.
*Name of employee the telephone number is assigned to.
*Location of the telephone.
