Mr. Randy Hines 


Mr. Hines is currently serving as Instructor of Animal Science, after Randy Hinesserving as a member of the faculty at Tarleton since 1980.  Mr. Hines received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1977 from Tarleton State University and later a Master of Science from Texas Tech University in 1979.

Mr. Hines is responsible for  teaching animal science and meats related courses.  He is the sponsor of Alpha Zeta, a national honor society for agriculture and Block and Bridle, a professional organization for agriculture at Tarleton.  He is also a member of the American Meat Science Association and of The Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society.

Mr. Hines is active in the Stephenville community serving as Deacon of the First Christian Church and as Director of the Erath County Farm Bureau Insurance Group.

He is credited for his contributions to Tarleton State Univesity and the College of Agriculture and Technology through the development of the Livestock Spectacular project, a  highly successful fundraiser and promotional livestock show for High School 4-H and FFA members.

Mr. Hines is married to his wife Debbie, who is Principal of Stephenville Intermediate School.  They have two daughters, Landra, a freshman attending Tarleton, and Kayla, a freshman at Stephenville High School.
