NNEMS is a comprehensive fellowship program managed by EPA's Office of Environmental Education. The purpose of the NNEMS Program is to provide students with practical research opportunities and experiences. Each participating headquarters or regional office develops and sponsors projects for student research. The projects are narrow in scope to allow the student to complete the research by working full-time during the summer and/or part-time during the school year. Research fellowships are available in Environmental Policy, Regulation, and Law; Environmental Management and Administration; Environmental Science; Public Relations and Communications; and Computer Programming and Development. NNEMS fellows receive a stipend at a level determined by the student’s level of education and the duration of the research project. Fellowships are offered to undergraduate and graduate students. Complete application information can be obtained in the Career Service Center (or equivalent) of participating universities. No application materials will be sent directly to students. The application deadline is in December of each year for all projects in the coming year. Complete program information and application materials can be obtained from the NNEMS website: http://www.epa.gov/enviroed/NNEMS/

The Society of Wetland Scientists has research grants for any student conducting undergraduate or graduate-level research in wetland science at an accredited college or university. Grants are intended to aid, but not to provide sole support of, student research. Because the total amount of funding requested will likely exceed available funds, proposals will be evaluated on a competitive basis. No predetermined funding limit has been set; however, it is expected that the maximum award will not exceed US $ 1,500.00 http://www.sws.org/studentgrants/index.mgi
