Hello Tarleton Parents!
Whether your student is currently attending Tarleton State University or is considering attending Tarleton, the Tarleton Parents Association is here for you! Our TPA goals and purpose are focused on increasing communication and encouraging cooperation among parents, university faculty/staff, and students to promote the cause of higher education and intellectual attainment. We join with the University in its philosophy and mission of “commitment to excellence.”
TPA activities include membership meetings, facilitating regional student/parent functions, addressing parent questions and concerns throughout the year, and the awarding of TPA scholarships. We also distribute a newsletter and membership directory. As our association grows and develops, we will bring in additional benefits and activities.
Our success depends entirely on the volunteer efforts of our members. Won’t you join with us and help us to promote our goals and mission? We are anxious to spread the Tarleton spirit!
On a personal note, I have assumed the position of president of TPA as the parent of a freshman, and as I learn about the University and its commitment to our students, I become increasingly impressed with the atmosphere of academic and institutional excellence. My daughter, Gayle is an Agriculture Education major at Tarleton, and she made the top choice for advancement of her education!! I am a registered nurse and work for a large home health agency as a case manager. My son, Collin Korenek, currently serves in the US Navy as a Lieutenant. Our home is a small town in Northeast Texas-- Pickton.
I look forward to hearing from you!
