It is important to me that parents have a place to come and find the answers needed to help their student accomplish their goals. I am a graduate of Tarleton State University and believe it provides a quality education, and has a culture of excellence on campus. I received both my Bachelors and Masters from Tarleton State University in Health and Physical Education. My wonderful husband, Bill, and I have lived in this area for 10 years. He works in the Dublin Public School System. We have two beautiful daughters Chelsey and Tara. Chelsey is a sophomore at Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas. Tara is a senior in Dublin High School and plans to attend Tarleton to participate in the athletic program.
The questions most are wondering – Why do this? Well, I was a stay at home Mom for twenty plus years, was, and am, very involved in my daughters’ educational and extracurricular activities. Also, my lovely husband, Bill, would send high students and their parents to me to assist with paperwork pertaining to college. I enjoyed it a great deal, and when we sent my eldest daughter off to college the Parent Relation Office help me a great deal in our transition. I knew this was a perfect fit for me because I understand, and still living it, I have to say, with my Tara.
Now with this office, we have become the portal to providing a listening ear for your questions and concerns, resource for adjusting to the new chapter, and helping hand to negotiate the University system from FERPA to Financial Aid to Send off parties.
I’m looking forward to partnering with you throughout your students collegiate experience. Please don’t hesitate to call my office (254) 968-0789.
