North Texas Writing Centers Association

Welcome to the North Texas Writing Centers Association home page.
We are a thriving network of writing center administrators and tutors in the North Texas region.
The late Mary Nell Kivikko of the Texas Christian University Writing Center conceived the idea for this
organization and, with Christina Murphy (former Director there and former President of the
National Writing Centers Association), initiated the organization in 1990. The NTWCA is also a
subset of the South Central Writing Centers Association.
