University Libraries - Tarleton State University
Special Collections, Limited and Local History

The Special Collections of the Dick Smith Library include research materials that because of subject emphasis, rarity, age, unusual format, or monetary value are shelved separately from the general collections. These materials include manuscripts, photographs, rare books and serials, art works, and the permanent historical records of Tarleton State University.

Special Collections materials are non circulating and must be used in the lower level of the library. The Special Collections Suite is open during regular Library hours with in-depth staff assistance available 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.  For assistance beyond these hours contact the Reference desk.
