TO BEGIN "TRACKING DOWN" ARTICLES

HOW
TO CONTINUE "TRACKING DOWN" ARTICLES
Once you've
determined that the periodical is available in Tarleton libraries'
collections by reading the item and catalog records, you have several
options for obtaining the article in print and/or electronic format,
as explained below.

To
obtain a printed version of the article, "An Empirical
Analysis of Nominal and Interacting Groups" from the March
1975, volume 18 issue #1 of Academy of Management Journal,
you have these options: |

If
you attend classes on the Stephenville campus, submit
a request to the Periodicals Department at Dick Smith Library
to have the March 1975 issue of Academy of Management Journal
brought to the library from offsite storage. |

If
you attend classes on the Killeen campus, submit an
interlibrary loan request (see Unit 9) to have the article sent
to your library. |

If
you qualify for the libraries' distance learning services,
you can request document delivery (home/office delivery of materials).

obtain an online version of the article, you have these options: |

Use
the links in the periodical's catalog record to access JSTOR
and/or Business Source Premier so you can locate the article
online. |

Use
Internet search tools to locate the periodical's home page and
see if archives are available. |
| |
If
the catalog has no records for the periodical or if the years
of coverage do not include the year(s) needed, you have these
options: |

Use
the SFX Journal Locator (discussed on the next page) to see
if the periodical is available in Tarleton libraries' databases. |
| |
Use
Internet search tools to locate the periodical's home page and
see if archives are available. |
| |
If
the SFX Journal Locator and the catalog have no records for
the desired periodical, submit an interlibrary loan request
(see Unit 9) to obtain the article from another library. |
As mentioned
above, Tarleton libraries offer the SFX Journal Locator, which is
an online tool used to determine if a periodical offers full text
articles in databases to which the libraries subscribe. The SFX Journal
Locator is discussed on the next page.
