Library Instruction Sessions are usually scheduled between 8 am and 5 pm, but special arrangements will be made for evening classes. Library instruction sessions can be held in the library, your classroom, or a computer lab. As the instructor, you decide the length, type, and location of your session. You may choose between lecture format instruction or hands-on instruction. Hands-on instruction can be held in existing computer labs or by utilizing Dick Smith Library's NEW wireless environment, which lets students use library-owned laptop computers to follow along with the instruction and, if desired, perform in-class exercises. If the session will be held in a classroom, please make sure the room is adequately wired for setting up a computer and connecting to the Web. If the session is to be held in a lab, please be sure to reserve that lab for your class. If the session is to be held in one of the library instructional areas, library staff will work with you to choose the best area based on class size and desired mode of instruction. Please supply 2 preferred dates/times for your library instruction session. The library will respond via e-mail or telephone within 24 hours to confirm your session's date and location.
