National Weather Service Office of Hydrologic Development – identifies requirements for the development, testing, and support of hydrologic forecast algorithms/tools and hydrologic data to improve efficiency and effectiveness of National Weather Service (NWS) hydrologic operations and services.

Global Hydrology and Climate Center (GHCC) studies the global water cycle and its affect on climate.  Part of the GHCC is the Global Hydrology Resource Center, which provides data archive and distribution services used primarily by researchers investigating facets of the hydrologic cycle.

Office of Water - Part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, this resource is organized into: Ground Water and Drinking Water; Science and Technology; Wastewater Management, Wetlands, Oceans, and Watersheds, and EPA Regional Offices.  Also includes publications and laws and regulations.

Water Quality Information Center - From the National Agricultural Library, Agricultural Research Service, this resource provides access to Water Resources and Agriculture, Water-Related Databases, discussion lists, and meetings.

American Institute of Hydrology – The American Institute of Hydrology (AIH) was formed in 1981 as a non-profit scientific and educational organization. The purpose of AIH is to enhance and strengthen the standing of hydrology as a science and a profession.

International Association of Hydrological Sciences – international, non-governmental organization that deals with hydrology and water resources.
