The Library provides remote access to the electronic resources using a server. You need only to provide your Tarleton NTNET (network/email) login and password when prompted.
EZPROXY requires no special browser configuration, however you must unconfigure any old proxy settings in order for the EZProxy to work effectively with your browser.
To do that, follow the instructions below for your specific browser version.
Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x: To turn off old proxy, from the menu bar choose "Tools" > "Internet Options" and select the "Connection" tab. Click the "LAN Settings..." button on the lower right side of the interface or the appropriate session under "Dial-up Settings" session and then "Settings." Now uncheck the "Use automatic configuration script" box. Click the "OK" button on both the "LAN Settings" and then the "Internet Options" window to return to Internet Explorer's main window.
Internet Explorer 4.x: To turn off old proxy, from the menu bar choose "View" > "Internet Options" and select the Connection tab. Then select the button labeled "Configure..." at the bottom right corner of the interface, clear the contents of the "URL:" box and click "Refresh" followed by "OK" to return to Internet Explorer's main window.
Netscape 6.x and 7.x: To turn off old proxy, start Netscape and choose "Edit" > "Preferences" > "Advanced" > "Proxies." Select "Direct connection to the Internet", and click the "OK" button to return to Netscape's main window.
Netscape 4.x: To turn off old proxy, start Netscape and choose "Edit" > "Preferences" > "Advanced" > "Proxies." Select "Direct connection to the Internet", and click the "OK" button to return to Netscape's main window.
Netscape for Macs: To turn off old proxy, start Netscape and choose "Edit" > "Preferences" > "Advanced" > "Proxies." Select "Direct connection to the Internet", and click the "OK" button to return to Netscape's main window.
