The
main campus of Tarleton State University is located in Stephenville, TX.
A member of The Texas A&M System, Tarleton State University provides
quality undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional education programs.
The student body includes representatives from 229 Texas counties, 28
states, and four foreign countries. Stephenville, Texas has twice been
recognized as one of the top 100 best small towns in the nation. The Tarleton Core Curriculum provides a solid
liberal arts foundation for all students. Tarleton offers 67 undergraduate
and 23 graduate programs as well as a cooperative doctorate in Educational
Administration. Degree areas include agriculture, business administration,
teacher education, allied health, the fine arts, social sciences, physical
and biological sciences, humanities, mathematics and technology. Still
other degree areas include preparation for professional schools such as
dentistry, engineering, law, medicine, and veterinary medicine.
The Master of Science in Information Systems (MS-IS)
is offered on the Stephenville campus utilizing a combination of
face-to-face and online courses. During the Fall and Spring semesters,
most face-to-face graduate CIS courses meet one night per week from
6:00pm to 9:00pm. During the Summer, graduate CIS courses are typically
offered during both the day and evenings.
Students enrolled in the MS-IS program on the Stephenville campus
bring various backgrounds and experiences to the classroom. This
variety of experiences helps provide an active learning environment
for students. |

Most of the face-to-face graduate CIS courses meet in the College of
Business Administration (COBA). Some courses are taught in traditional
classrooms. However, many of the courses meet regularly in the COBA computer
labs.
