Welcome to Health and Physical Education Phi Epsilon Kappa
In the department of Health and Physical Education, we have the HPE club and the PEK fraternity. Both groups meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday’s of the month starting in September for the fall semester and February for the spring semester. They are busy during the fall semester with trash pickup after all of the SHS football home games, Halloween Carnival, Angel Tree and fundraisers so the students can attend the annual TAHPERD conference. This year 19 students are attending the conference in Galveston. Jacob Fain will run for TAHPERD student chair elect. Jolene Volke currently serves in that capacity and will take on the role of student chair from Shelly Fidler, a May 2007 Tarleton graduate, at the conclusion of the conference. FYI- Tarleton students have held this title for the past 7 out of 10 years with a streak of 5 in a row! We are going for #6!!
