My MATLAB Library
| MATLAB is a "high-performance language
for technical computing. It integrates computation, visualization, and
programming in an easy-to-use environment where problems and solutions are
expressed in familiar mathematical notation." (The
MathWorks)
Dr. Richard E. Strauss, my major advisor, should be credited with introducing me to the wonderful world of MATLAB. Since then, I have used MATLAB for a variety of reasons including statistical analyses, simulation, and modeling. Many of my functions, however, are dependent upon Dr. Strauss' Library of MATLAB functions; as a result, you must download his library as well in order for many of my programs to run properly. My library should be downloaded and unzipped into a directory within the "toolbox" folder of the MATLAB directory and the name of the directory must be added to the MATLAB search path (type help addpath in MATLAB for additional information). I am in the middle of updating all my functions to be compatible with the latest version of MATLAB. Some of the functions have not yet been tested, so be vigilant for errors. Higgins MATLAB Library Last updated on 6/9/2008 As usual with freeware, you get what you pay for. This is a working library and is often modified on a day-to-day basis. Although most functions have been thoroughly tested, no warranties are expressed or implied. These functions are intended for academic and educational uses and are not to be used for commercial purposes. If, however, you find any bugs in the programs, please inform me of the situation at higgins@tarleton.edu.
