Connecting to your H: Drive
Setup Instructions for Windows 2K
1. Connect to Tarleton ISP or if you are using another ISP then you must run the VPN client after you connect. If you are connecting to a different ISP then skip to step 5.
2. Double click My Computer, located on the Desktop. Click on Network and Dial-up connections.
3. Right click on the connection to Tarleton, then choose Properties from the menu.

4. Click on the Networking tab at the top. Check the box for “Client for Microsoft Networks”, then click the OK button and close the “Network and Dial-up…” folder.

5. Make sure that you are online before you begin these next steps. Right click on My Computer, then choose “Map Network Drive…” from the menu.

6. Select “H:” from the Drive list box. In the Folder list box, type in \\store01\username. (Notice which way the slash is leaning; it is a BACKSLASH.) Make sure that there is a check in the “Reconnect at logon” box. Click Finish.

7. In the Connect As: text box, enter “ntnet\username” and your password in the box below that. Click the OK Button.
8. Your H: drive should now be in the My Computer folder. Remember that everytime you dial in and/or starting the VPN client, you also have to enter your password to reconnect to your drive. It should come up automatically when you double click on the H: drive. You may also get a Logon error when you reboot the computer. If you do get this make sure that the check box is NOT checked and press the OK button.
