National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (private) - The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) operates a conservation grants program that awards matching grants, on a competitive basis, to eligible grant recipients, including federal, tribal, state, and local governments, educational institutions, and non-profit conservation organizations. Project proposals are received on a year-round, revolving basis with two decision cycles peryear. Grants typically range from $25,000 to $250,000 based upon need. Pre-proposal deadlines are April 1 and September 1; full proposal deadlines are June 1 and November 1.
