Mission
The mission of the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies is to serve the College of Education, Tarleton State University, the State of Texas, and the nation through the preparation of highly qualified educational leaders who possess the requisite knowledge, skills, and values needed to guide, influence, and shape complex and diverse educational institutions through leadership, scholarship and service.

Faculty members in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies are committed to excellence and equity in all our endeavors. These principles drive the decisions made each day related to student admissions, program curriculum, classroom instruction, student assessment, selection of faculty, and professional support for faculty and staff.
The faculty works to achieve the mission of the Department through the delivery of graduate degree and certification programs in the field of educational leadership and administration. Programs in the Department are tailored to meet the needs of busy professionals seeking to make a difference in the classroom, at the campus level, at the district level, and in institutions of higher education.
