The challenge of diversity… like the wings of a thousand butterflies… is at once appealing and overwhelming.

By its very nature, a university brings groups of diverse individuals together into one place to study new ideas, exchange thoughts, and expand minds. It combines the cultures, teaching, talents and expectations of scores of individuals into a single community of scholars.

The challenge is to create a single community without losing the uniqueness of the individual. It is equally important to encourage the individuals within that community to appreciate and celebrate their differences.

Fear of the unknown is both natural and common. However, it is in discovering something outside our ordinary lives which promotes learning.
