About Us

The Department of Communication Studies provides students a variety of academic experiences:  Speech Communication, Public Relations and Event Management, and Journalism and Broadcasting—with Teacher Certification offered in related areas.  Minors can be chosen from a wide choice of subjects to complement students' interests and major emphases.  Communication Studies faculty and staff are dedicated to both the educational and the societal preparation of students, creating an atmosphere where learning and mentoring occur in a progressive, relaxed atmosphere.
