Welcome!

The Tarleton Chemical Society is about getting together and having fun while learning about chemistry. Whether we are hanging out in the "study" room or holding "Magic" shows for local area schools, we're having fun. In addition to holding the Annual Sciences Thanksgiving Luncheon, we also have a potato luncheon, cookouts and parties, throughout the Fall and Spring Semesters.

Many of our club members are lab assistants or work in the chemistry stockroom. Many also tutor or do paid research work with the chemistry faculty. We have a few fundraisers throughout the year such as chemistry tote-box washing.  The bulk of fundraising money is used to fund the George Wiedebusch Scholarship for an incoming freshman chemistry major.  It also pays for food at our club meetings as well as for trips such as the ACS National Meeting.

At the end of the year, we have an awards banquet, where we get together and remember all the fun we've had during the year. We then give various awards, financial and otherwise, and we introduce the new officers and scholarship winners.
