| Dr.
Teresa Davidian:
Dr. Davidian recieved her MA in Music from Columbia University and her
Ph.D in Music Theory and History from the University of Chicago.
After teaching in Maine and Ohio, she came to Tarleton in 1994, where
she
is now an associate professor and department head of the Department of
Fine Arts and Speech.
Dr. Davidian has published several articles on the works of Debussy and
has just completed an important article on the influence of the
composer
Ruth Crawford Seeger on the work of John Cage. Dr. Davidian has
always
had a strong interest on music the produced by Holocaust victims and
survivors.
Dr.
Donald Zelman: Donald Zelman
came to Tarleton in 1971 as an assistant professor of history. He
had recieved his MA in history from the University of Oregon and Ph.D.
from Ohio State University. A specialist in recent American and
diplomatic history, Donald won the coveted Minnie Piper Stevens
Distinguished Teaching award in 1978 . Promoted to the rank of
full professor in 1981, Donald served as Director of General Studies
for a number of years and was Dean of the College of Liberal and
Fine Arts from 1999 to 2007. Although elderly and bit senile,
Donald is
still an outstanding teacher and dedicated administrator. He also
thinks he is an actor.
