Assistant Vice President for Finance & Administration
(September 2005 to present)
Assist the Vice President for Finance & Administration in the day-to-day management of the division.  Serve as a representative of the division through service on various university committees, and represent the University through involvement in affiliated external organizations.  Responsible for: managing and coordinating contract administration for the University; assisting with the coordination of campus bookstore operations; managing vending operations; coordinating reports for state and internal audits; conducting annual review of the University's contract administration plan and filing necessary paperwork with representatives of The Texas A&M University System; providing management and leadership for the collegiate licensing program; providing leadership and direction for campus expansion operations; providing supervision and leadership of Texan Card Operations; coordinating required assessment and evaluative operations for the division; assisting in the preparation and control of the University's annual budget, the state Legislative Appropriations Request (LAR) and other related reports as needed; conducting legislative bill analyses, providing feedback to internal and A&M System constituents; managing and/or coordinating special requests for divisional reports and information; providing leadership and commitment to diversity, equal opportunity, and affirmative action; providing support to the HUB coordinator and HUB program as needed; coordinating student fee requests; and completing necessary reports for the University, the A&M System, and various state agencies.

 

Assistant to the President -- Office of the President

Represent the University President at campus events and serve as an official representative of Tarleton at professional meetings with officials of The Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) and of the State of Texas.  Act as a liaison on behalf of the President’s Office with faculty, staff, other administrative offices, and students/student groups.  Act as a liaison and coordinate with The TAMUS/Office of the General Counsel and State of Texas/Office of the Attorney General legal staff on behalf of the President.  Coordinate with the Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Institutional Research (OPEIR) on various projects.  Responsible for: drafting and finalizing written communication for the President; planning, organizing, and preparing materials for presentations to be made by the President; preparing and coordinating all materials for The TAMUS Board of Regents meetings and presentations; assisting with official functions of the Office of the President.

 

Planned Giving Officer & Development Associate -- Office of Development

Secure major and planned gifts. Prospect research.  Corporate and foundation research.  Prepare and distribute quarterly newsletters educating former students of the importance of a planned gift. Recruit, hire, train and supervise student callers for fundraising campaigns. Responsible for all aspects of the Greater Tarleton Annual Fund (direct mail solicitation/ phonathons, budgeting, recording financial contributions, and alumni database management). Designed web pages for the annual giving program. Developed gift brochure for donor solicitation purposes.
