I teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Animal Science and Ruminant Nutrition. In addition to my teaching responsibilities I serve as Assistant Department Head for the Department of Animal Sciences.  I also hold a 25% research appointment at the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station in Stephenville, TX where I conduct research in the area of nutrient management and ruminant nutrition.  Additionally, I serve as the faculty advisor for the Tarleton State University Dairy club, Block and Bridle club, Dairy judging team, and Dairy Challenge team.

My research interests include nutrient management from a nutritional, as well as an environmental standpoint.  I am also interested in using stable isotopes in ruminant animals to determine protein and amino acid requirements.

I am a member of the American Dairy Science Society and the American Society of Animal Science and Sigma Xi (The Scientific Research Society).
