Registering for Online Homework:

1. Register on the CourseCompass website
(www.coursecompass.com):
(a) If
you have never used the online homework before, you will need an access code to
register. A packet with an access code
should have been included with a new textbook purchase. Otherwise, you can purchase access online at
this website. The bookstore may sell
access codes packets.

Click on the register button.
Fill out the forms. The class id
you will need for this part is “low39657”.
(2)
You should arrive at a home page that says “College Chemistry II” as the
title of the course.
(b) If
you have used the online homework last semester, your old username and password
should still work. You can have the
website email your username and password to you if you have forgotten it.

Click on the login button. You
will get to the home page of your last course.

Click on the “Enroll in a new class” button. Enter the course id of “low39657”. You should get to a home page that says
“College Chemistry II” as the title of the course.

Getting to the PhGradeAssist website (where the online homework exists):
(a)
You should be at the home page for the coursecompass website class. Click on the “Student Learning Resources”
link.
(b) On
this page, look for the “PhGradeAssist Homework Assessment system”
paragraph. Right after this paragraph,
there is a sentence that says “Click here to access PhGradeAssist”. Click there!!
(c)
You should get a “locate class” menu.
The class id for the PhGradeAssist page is “mwf11s07”. The name of the class is “CHEM108 MWF
11”. Look for the class id in the list
of classes that appear in the list. This is a long list!
(d) Once you pick the correct class you will get
a home page that appears as below:

Click on “Chapter 13 Assignment”.
You will already be registered so it will give you a warning about the
limit of 4 quizzes. Click “OK”. Then you will be given an option about
printing out the assignment. After this,
you can work on the assignment or save it for later.

After going through this procedure once, you can access the online
homework page directly at the URL of http://phga.pearsoncmg.com/onekey/classes/mwf11s07/
. Click on the “Chapter 13 Assignment”
and it will ask you for your userid and password.
4. Do
not hit the “Grade” button until you are absolutely sure you are finished with
that assignment. Once the grade button
is hit, that assignment is finished and you will have to start a new
assignment.
