Welcome to Tarleton!
Our objective with AlcoholEdu is to help you succeed in college.
You will face many challenges and pressures in college--and you will be faced with numerous choices, some of which will involve alcohol. The AlcoholEdu course will provide you with some helpful information to help you make choices that will help you achieve your goals in college.
AlcoholEdu is helpful even if you do not drink because it can help you learn how to cope better with friends or acquaintances who drink.
Here are some useful points about the course:
- All first time freshmen (including those with less than 30 transfer hours) are required to complete the course.
- The course will be available beginning August 1, 2009.
- The course has two sections (part 1 and part 2), both of which must be completed to fulfill university requirements
- Part 1 of the course takes approximately 3 hours to complete (we recommend that you take it in multiple sittings).
- The deadline for completing Part 1 is August 23, 2009.
- You need to earn a grade of 70% or higher to pass and receive credit for the course.
- About 30 days after you complete Part 1, you will receive an email asking you to complete Part 2, which takes about 15 minutes.
- The deadline to complete Part 2 is October 31, 2009.
